Customers Receive Complimentary Bra Fitting While Helping Find a Cure
for Breast Cancer and Sign Up for Monthly Self Breast Exam Reminder
MIAMI, FL – April 19, 2010 – Eight out of ten women do it every day, they put on the wrong size bra and don’t even know it. Having the perfect look, starts with the basics, including a well-fitting brassiere that supports and enhances the body. Women should be professionally fitted for a bra once a year to ensure their bra size has not changed as a result of fluctuations in their body. Once again, Macy’s and Wacoal are teaming up to help women not only find their correct size, but to knockout breast cancer.
Macy’s and Wacoal are hosting in-store “FI(gh)T FOR THE CURE®” bra fitting events throughout Macy’s locations (listed below). Whether you’re looking for a great basic bra or looking for a new style, Wacoal and Macy’s fit experts are ready to help during complimentary fittings. Customers who participate in any Fit for the Cure event to receive a complimentary bra fitting, in Wacoal or b.tempt’d intimate apparel, from a Wacoal fit specialist and sign up to receive a monthly email reminder to do a self breast exam. For every woman that participates, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for breast cancer research and community health programs. Wacoal will also donate an additional $2 for every Wacoal bra, shapewear piece or b.tempt’d bra purchased at these events. To date, Wacoal has donated more than $2.5 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American women and accounts for 26% of all cancers among women. Conducting a monthly breast self-examination is an important way to detect abnormalities at an early stage. By keeping women on track through monthly breast exam reminders, the “Wacoal Promise” is an amendment to helping women stay committed to their health. Take 15 minutes to meet with a Wacoal fit expert while contributing to an important cause and sign up for a reminder that could ultimately save your life.
The fit events will be held during the month of May. Appointments are suggested for the fittings. Locations and dates are listed below:
