'Being skinny is not sustainable and not enjoyable,' says Anne Hathaway

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

White hot: Anne Hathaway attends a screening of her new film Love and Other Drugs in New York

As she took to the red carpet last night in a white pinafore dress, a radiant Anne Hathaway looked completely comfortable in her own skin.

But the 28-year-old, who attended a screening in New York for her latest film Love and Other Drugs with Jake Gyllenhaal, has revealed she often felt pressure to diet and even surgically enhance her looks.

Hathaway, who first came to the world's attention in The Princess Diaries, admits it has taken her years to accept the way she looks.

'My identity used to be shaped on my appearance so much,' she said in an interview with the UK edition of Elle Magazine. 'I don't think I was shallow – I just think I was young.

'I focus on other things a lot more now.

'I've hit the point in my life where I understand that being skinny is not sustainable, and nor is it advisable, and nor is it enjoyable,' she said.

Cute co-stars: Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal star opposite each other in Love and Other Drugs

Hathaway says that she was offered Botox injections when she was only 23 but refused them because she didn't want to 'erase' who she is.

'From the age of 25 to 27 – and this is a little embarrassing to admit – I looked under my eyes every single day, because I thought, "It's going, it's going, it's going!"

'And then I realised the other day they're not wrinkles; they're smile lines. If you look at pictures of me from a young age, I've been smiling the same way since I was little.

'And I had that wonderful moment when you realise, "That's who I am." Botox would erase that.'

Love and Other Drugs follows the story of a pharmaceutical salesman played by Jake Gyllenhaal who meets his match in Hathaway's character, an alluring free spirit who won’t let anyone tie her down.

The film opens in the US tomorrow.

Emma Watson's New York fashion show: Harry Potter star brings her sweet style to the Big Apple

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Gamine charm: Emma Watson managed two costume changes in New York today for various TV appearances but kept on her stylish Burberry trench coat

In a town famed for its amazing fashion houses and cutting edge looks, Emma Watson is standing out as an up-and-coming style maven.

The 20-year-old has displayed a variety of outfits while promoting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the New York this week, and it's clear she is developing an increasingly individual and eclectic fashion sense.

She stepped out in today wearing a very stylish Burberry trench coat with studded sleeves.

And while the Harry Potter star changed her dress twice in a matter of hours for various TV appearances - a grey number with a Peter Pan collar for the Today show a and a green frock for Live with Regis & Kelly - she kept the overcoat on as she darted around town.

She later changed into a striped jumper, simple black trousers and ballet pumps for a flight out of New York's La Guardia Airport this afternoon.

During her whistle-stop stay in New York, Emma was also spotted wore a very unusual thigh-skimming ink blot mini-dress by Dion Lee that showed off her gamine figure to perfection.

And the Rorsache test-inspired design, which she wore to lunch yesterday, showed that the Harry Potter star isn't afraid to play with unusual and untraditional looks.

She wore a slinky Calvin Klein dress for the red carpet premiere and earlier wore a red and black sparkly dress for a taping of the David Letterman show.

Short and sweet: Emma headed out for yesterday wearing a short ink-blot dress and black boots

It looks like the 20-year-old is developing a real passion for fashion - she recently revealed that she will be collaborating with design house Alberta Ferretti.
With an established line for People Tree already to her name, this will be her second design venture.

Emma says ‘She [Alberta] wrote to me and said, "I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it’s a great idea and will you do something with me?"'

During her appearance on Live With Regis & Kelly she joked that she is engaged to her Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint - and that they are going to have a brood of ginger-haired kids.

And she was asked if she ever had a crush on either Grint, who plays Ron Heasley, or Daniel Radcliffe.

Chic and stylish: Emma posing for photographs on Friday in a pretty black and white dress; arriving at the Late Show with David Letterman in a trim black coat; in Calvin Klein dress at Harry Potter premiere last night

Presenter Regis Philbin said: 'During the 10 years that you worked together with Daniel Radcliffe and The Grint, did you ever develop a fondness for either one of them?'

Emma said: 'A crush? Regis, you have honestly asked me this question every time [I was on the show] since I was 10.

'OK fine, we're getting married, and we're going to have little ginger-haired kids, and we're going to live in a beautiful house. And we're very in love.'

The star - who has played Hermione Granger in the movies for a decade - then moved a ring onto her engagement finger.

She added: 'Hang on, wait. This is my engagement ring. Isn't it beautiful?'

Cool and casual: Emma leaves New York's La Guardia Airport this afternoon dressed down in a jumper and simple black trousers and ballet pumps

Regis asked: 'But who is it from The Grint, or Radcliffe?'
She replied: 'This is from The Grint, come on.'

Emma, who is studying at America's Brown University, also told how she was enjoying being at college after opting for an education in the States, rather than at Cambridge.

She said: 'I absolutely love it. I love my professors, I love my classes, I love waking up at 10am. I chose to come here [because] I really love the American attitude to education, it's just much broader.

"I just wanted an adventure.'
Co-host Kelly Ripa said: 'And you knew that with your English accent you would sound like the smartest person in class.'

She said: 'It's weird. People have said that, 'I hate you, your IQ, you just add 10 points every time you open your mouth just because of your accent.'
She also revealed she had chosen to major in history, saying it was her 'great passion'.

Red-carpet touch-up for Emma Watson before she weaves her black magic at Harry Potter premiere in New York

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Just wizard: Clad in a slinky black dress, Emma Watson arrives at the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I last night

Emma Watson brought a little black magic to the red carpet at the New York premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows last night.

The actress dazzled onlookers in a slinky floor length dress and heels, with a gold glittery clip in her new pixie hairdo as she arrived at the Alice Tully Hall in Manhattan.

She was joined on the red carpet by her Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton.

Ready for my close up: The actress receives a quick touch up in the car before stepping on to the carpet

Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Gabourey Sidibe and Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon also turned out for the occasion.

While Emma may have looked effortlessly chic, there was of course a team on hand to make sure her look was just spell-binding.

A make-up artist was spotted topping up her foundation with a pink sponge in the back seat of her car just moments before she faced the cameras.

Once on the red carpet, she turned around to reveal a sophisticated backless number with crossover straps.

The actress revealed her dress had been designed specially for her by Calvin Klein.
'I asked Calvin Klein if they would make a dress for me because I love their stuff and they did,' she told MTV News.

And after her dramatic change of haircut hit the headlines, she revealed she wouldn't be doing anything more to change her look.

Covered up: The 20-year-old actress covered up her slinky Calvin Klein gown with a long black coat as she left her hotel for the premiere

'The hair is as dramatic as it goes,' she laughed. 'I think I'd have to shave it to get any more dramatic.'

'I'm loving it,' she added to E! News. 'I don't really miss it. I'm not going to lie. I can wash my head, in a basin, in a sink. Takes me like five minutes to get ready. It's great.'

Watson was spotted chatting to one of her style idols - Sarah Jessica Parker - who had brought her son James Wilkie.

'Her son is a big Harry Potter fan; we've spoken on a number of occasions. She's a big fashion icon of mine,' said Watson.

Watson is currently studying at Brown University in the US where history classes are her favourite.

She admits it can be tricky juggling her education with fame.

'It is pretty tough,' she says. 'But I have to be very organised with my time and just do my best.'

Meanwhile, Radcliffe has been preparing for the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which opens in March.

'I'm doing a huge amount of singing lessons and dancing lessons,' he said.

Family affair: Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker took along their son James Wilkie

Magical moment: Little James Wilkie seemed thrilled to be meeting the actress

'Before I started work on [the film The Woman in Black], I was doing nine hours a week of dance and eight hours a week of singing, so if I screw up, it's not for lack of trying.'

Radcliffe dismissed rumours there could be another Harry Potter book from J.K. Rowling, revealing the author sent him a text after last week's London premiere.

'Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this Harry Potter film, and as a reward for that, she wasn't going to [write] any more Harry Potter [books], he revealed to MTV News.

'I'm sure she will be writing other books,' he continued. 'But I can pretty much guarantee that Harry will not be a feature.'

Smoking hot Keira Knightley caught sneaking a cigarette outside Rick Stein's flagship fish restaurant

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Burning desire: Keira Knightley took time out at a dinner with friends at Rick Stein's The Seafood restaurant in Padstow to have a smoke outside

She's the beautiful British star who comports herself with sophistication and elegance in multi-million pound movies and high-end adverts for the likes of Chanel.
But it seems Keira Knightley is just a normal person sometimes on a night out.

The sought-after 25-year-old A-lister was indulging in strictly un-A-list behaviour when she was spotted having a cigarette outside a restaurant.

Like most mere mortals with a yearning for nicotine, she was forced to light up on the pavement outside with the general public.

The normally glamorous star had been dining at Rick Stein's The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, Cornwall, on Friday night when she got the urge for a post-prandial puff.

Perhaps it's because the star is more nervy of late and needs a calming ciggy.
She was left shaken earlier this month when her London home was ransacked by burglars.

Lighting up the night: The movie beauty cupped the cigarette in her hand at one point as she joked with her pals

The Atonement star's £1.3million central London flat was broken into by thieves, who went through her belongings and stole two laptops worth £2,000.

Detectives are concerned the thieves may try to sell personal contents from the computers.

The Oscar nominated actress was on holiday at the time of the break-in, taking time out from her hectic schedule.

Something fishy: Keira and her chums were having supper at the celebrity chef's flagship fine dining restaurant in the pretty Cornish town when they braved the chilly weather for a nicotine hit

She has three movies coming out soon, including Last Night, starring Sam Worthington and Eva Mendes; Never Let Me Go with Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield; and London Boulevard, starring Colin Farrell, Anna Friel and Ray Winstone.

The busy star is also being courted by Batman director Christopher Nolan to star The Dark Knight Rises and she's also being tipped to play Diana Princess Of Wales in a new biopic about the tragic royal.

Producers at film company Pathe are also keen to secure Dame Helen Mirren, 65, to play her mother, Frances Shand Kydd.

Polished: The star as we're more used to seeing her, snapped her at a screening of her 2008 movie The Duchess

The movie is to be released next year to coincide with what would have been the Princess’s 50th birthday.

We imagine Keira will be hoping neither of those projects go up in smoke...

That's a wrap: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson jet out of Brazil after filming Twilight

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Take off: Kristen Stewart is escorted through Rio De Janeiro airport on Saturday before boarding a flight back to the U.S.

After just over a week in Brazil it is time for the Twilight love birds to fly home.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted at Rio Airport on Saturday night boarding a flight back to the U.S.

The low key couple were flanked by a heavy security escort as they made their way through the terminal - both dressed casually in jeans and hooded sweatshirts.

Rob, 24, and Kristen, 20, have been in Brazil to shoot scenes from the upcoming fourth instalment of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

The couple went out of their way not to be photographed together, even walking several paces behind one another through the airport.

But during filming they were spotted kissing and being romantic in the middle of a busy Rio street as part of scenes depicting the couples honeymoon parts of which were also filmed on the isle of Esme just off of the coast.

Off screen love: She was accompanied by boyfriend and Twilight co-star Rob Pattinson

The storyline in Breaking Dawn follows Edward and Bella as they get married and jet off on their honeymoon.

While they are there Bella becomes pregnant with a baby that turns out to be half human half vampire.

Filming on the new movie officially began last week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is expected to continue in Vancouver.

Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series, will be broken down into two movies with the first part in cinemas next year and the second half to be released in 2012.

Emma Watson: I felt like a prisoner of Hogwarts during Harry Potter films - and nearly quit at 16

By SHARON CHURCHER

Finally free: Emma Watson at this week's premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part One

She sparkled on the red carpet at the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows last week – but Emma Watson has revealed she nearly quit the film series at the age of 16.

Despite earning £20 million from playing Hermione Granger, Emma has complained she felt trapped by the ‘horrible’ filming schedule.

The 20-year-old, now studying at Brown University in New England, was locked into a contract when cast in the first film, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, aged nine.

But her deal with Warner Brothers came up for renewal while she was shooting the fifth film, The Order Of The Phoenix, in 2006.

Her co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, who play Harry and Ron, also had a chance to quit at the time, but never gave it a thought.

However, Emma said she felt unsure that she wanted to continue being controlled by a plot in which she had to go on looking and behaving like an old- fashioned schoolgirl.

When she eventually agreed to sign up for another five years, it was ‘agonising’, she said.

‘I love to make people laugh and I love being creative, but there are so many other things I love doing too,’ she said.

‘I have such a structure when I’m working on Potter. I get told what time I get picked up.

'I get told what time I can eat, when I have time to go to the bathroom. Every single second of my day is not in my power.’

Emma, the daughter of divorced lawyers from Oxfordshire, said she reached a low point while shooting Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

The film involved arduous outdoor scenes in which, she said, she, Daniel and Rupert were cold and wet for months on end.

‘I hate to sound whiny but it’s hor rible,’ Emma told New York magazine Entertainment Weekly, which is owned by Time Warner, the parent company of Warner Brothers.

‘This has definitely been the most intense, gruelling period of film-making I’ve ever done.’

'Trapped': Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint with Emma filming The Order Of The Phoenix

Emma recently completed her first year at Brown and said that despite the success and financial security the Potter work brought her – including a spell as a model for Burberry – she is delighted the series is over.

Her first months at university were ‘so liberating’, she said. ‘I’d be smiling to myself and friends would say, “Emma, what’s wrong?” and I’d say, “I’m just happy.”

‘I take pleasure in the smallest things. Like “I’m going to wake up at 10 o’clock if I want to” or “I’m going to eat a sandwich now.” ’

Best buddies: Emma with co-stars Daniel, who plays Harry Potter, and Rupert, who stars as Ron Weasley pose together

Despite being the highest-paid woman in Hollywood, Emma claims she had no idea of the size of her earnings until her father told her when she was 18.

The interview is accompanied by a detailed breakdown of the final scene of Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – the last film in the saga – due out next summer.

But so as not to spoil the excitement for Harry Potter fans, The Mail on Sunday is not going to reveal what happens.

A Hollywood observer said: ‘It is strange the studio giving Emma a platform on which to complain they ruined her childhood. What’s really weird is them spoiling the fun by giving away the ending.’

Angie get your gun! Jolie already looks like a veteran director as she shoots first film

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Do it like this: Angelina Jolie shows her team how it's done as she directs her first film in Estergom, Hungary

You'd never think that this was the first time Angelina Jolie directed a film.

The actress was on set again yesterday in Estergom, Hungary, shooting her Bosnian war epic.

And from the confident way she was guiding and instructing her team, the 35-year-old looked more like a veteran director than an inexperienced first-timer.

Dressed in a black coat and trousers and with a huge pair of sunglasses on, Jolie seemed to be everywhere at once as she mimicked firing a gun and made expansive arm gestures.

Her first feature film is a love story set against the backdrop of the Bosnian war, and tells the story of a romance between a Bosnian woman and Serbian man.

Jolie wrote the original screenplay, and she is also producing the film with the help of Graham King and Tim Headington, who she worked with on The Tourist.

Go here and here: Angelina is a confident first-time director

It's clear that war-torn societies are something the actress can really connect with, after all her humanitarian work for the United Nations.

The whole Jolie-Pitt clan are currently in Hungary hanging out whilst mum works.
The family are renting a home in a prestigious neighbourhood just outside of the capital, Budapest.

Hands up! Angelina is wrapped up warmly in a black padded jacket

And husband Brad Pitt is frequently on set to lend Jolie a trusty hand.

They've been making themselves at home in the spacious mansion, with two of the couple's sons, Maddox and Pax pitching tents in the backyard for some overnight fun.

In addition, they've even adopted a cute little dog. An assistant was spotted shortly after the family moved in delivering an adorable pug puppy.

Standing to attention: Angelina clearly has full control of her cast and crew on set

Emma Watson's spell is over as she swaps pretty vintage dress for trousers and flats at Harry Potter premiere afterparty

By SARAH BULL

Casual nighttime look: Emma Watson opted for a grey mac, black trousers and flat black shoes at the afterparty of the Harry Potter premiere

She looked stunning as she graced the red carpet at the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 last night.

But, just hours after wowing fans in a pretty vintage feathered Rafael Lopez for Atelier Mayer dress, Emma Watson changed into a less-than-exciting ensemble of black trousers, a grey mac and flat shoes for the film's official afterparty.

The outfit was a far cry from Emma's earlier ensemble, and was more akin to the casual clothes the 20-year-old actress wears when she is on campus at America's Browns University.

What a difference: Emma's casual outfit was a far cry from the glamorous vintage dress she wore earlier on the red carpet

However, the suede double-breasted mac was anything but casual in terms of price, as it retails for £1,295 at Burberry.

And, combined with Emma's new elfin hairstyle, the entire ensemble resulted in Emma looking a lot younger than her 20 years.

But Emma said recently while her fans may have been shocked by the drastic change to her image when she swapped her long locks for a face-framing crop, she loves her new hair.

She said recently: 'It was really fun, actually, having it cut. It was really fun… Sometimes I still forget that I don’t have it anymore.'

And Emma, who plays Hermione Granger in the films, said she had decided to cut her hair when her obligations with Harry Potter had finished.

Co-stars: Earlier in the evening Emma posed with co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint on the red carpet

Matching: Emma also posed with Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who wore an incredibly similar outfit

She told Vogue magazine recently: 'All the normal things girls do, I couldn't [because of Harry Potter. For the nine years I was on Harry Potter I was contractually obliged not to cut my hair, not to tan.

'When I got the chance to change my appearance, my hair is what I did. I didn't realise until afterwards how significant it was because, of course, the hair was Hermione's defining feature.

Earlier in the evening, Emma was joined on the red carpet in London's Leicester Square by Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows has been split into two films because producers felt there was too much material to fit in one movie.

Part 1 sends Harry and pals Hermione (Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) outside their usual haunts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as they search for artefacts that are the key to the power of dark Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).

Spellbinding Emma Watson's sticky situation: Actress tapes revealing vintage dress to her back at world premiere of seventh Harry Potter movie

By BEN TODD, CHRIS JOHNSON and RACHEL QUIGLEY

Simply charming: Emma Watson looked immaculate in a vintage black lace dress, teamed with heels by Charlotte Olympia at the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 in London last night

She was just a nervous 11-year-old schoolgirl when she first appeared on the red carpet.

But yesterday it was Emma Watson the confident and vivacious young woman who was the centre of attention at the premiere of the latest Harry Potter epic.

Miss Watson, now 20, opted for a short, revealing black, see-through lace and feather dress by Rafael Lopez for Atelier Mayer, teamed with black heels by Charlotte Olympia.

She made sure there were no wardrobe malfunctions by having the dress strapped to her back, to stop it falling open any further.

Sticky situation: Watson applied fashion tape to her back to stop her dress slipping open any further

The actress, who has played Hermione Granger in all the Harry Potter films was was joined by Daniel Radcliffe – Harry Potter – and Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley at the Leicester Square premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows - Part 1.

Miss Watson, also showed off her cropped hairstyle. The actress had been wanting to cut her hair short but was only allowed to do so after the end of filming of the Harry Potter series.

Miss Watson admitted she was finding coming to the end of Harry Potter was ‘emotional’. She said ‘We are all so close and it was a great adventure but we all have to move on.’

Pictured nine years ago at the first premiere in 2001

Thousands had queued over night and braved the weather to catch a glimpse of the stars in a Leicester Square that had been transformed into a Harry Potter film set.

The arrival of Radcliffe, 21, brought deafening screams from the fans. He said that he had forgotten ‘what that sound was like’ but said he was happy the films were still so popular.

Asked if she would ever reprise the role of brainbox Hermione again - after author of the books J.K. Rowling recently hinted she might have another book in her - the Watson said she was unsure.

She told Sky News: 'I don't know. I feel like I've just said goodbye to Hermione. I'd have to see how I felt at the time.'

Radcliffe, who plays the title role gave a similar response, saying working on one character for 10 years is a long time, adding it might take a bit of persuading from someone like Rowling.

Watson is currently study at Brown University in America. She insisted she did still have a passion for acting, despite reports that she may throw in the towel.

In the spotlight: Radcliffe spends time with fans, signing autographs and posing for photographs

Potter mania: Hundreds of fans crowded into to Leicester Square to get a glimpse of their idols

She added: 'I've just finished filming My Week With Marilyn and I definitely have a passion for acting.

'I think that at the moment I'm just very dedicated to finishing me education.'

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, the next-to-last instalment in the film franchise about the teen wizard goes on general release on November 19.

Both in black: Harry Potter's girlfriend Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginnie Weasley and, right, author of the books J.K. Rowling, who like Watson opted for a black lace design

Double act: Tom Felton, who plays the evil Draco Malfoy and real-life girlfriend Jade Olivia who works behind the scenes on the movies. Right, Weasley twins Fred and George, played by James and Oliver Phelps

The adaptation of J.K. Rowling's seventh and final novel has been split into two films with the second film due out next July.

Fans may leave frustrated that they have to wait eight months for the finale. But Rowling's last book needed to be broken into two parts for the big screen, said Radcliffe.

'I was always very much in favour of it being two parts, and I think most people were, simply because we all realised there was no way you could do justice to the book and really capture the story in one film,' Radcliffe told The Associated Press.

Dressing up: X Factor contestants Katie Waissel, wearing an intricate gold dress with sheer black panelling

On song: Cher Lloyd in a white dress with black tights, while right, Rebecca Ferguson looked stunning in a pleated orange dress with matching shoes

'In the first six books, there was secondary action that could be cut from the movies, 'themes which while exciting and while fans love them, simply don't add anything to the main thrust of the story,' Radcliffe said.

'In the seventh book, there is very little extraneous stuff that's not actually contributing heavily to the main plot line.'

Team spirit: One Direction, from left Niall Horan, Zain Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Liam Payne

All together: From lef, One Direction, Aiden Grimshaw, Matt Cardle, Paije Richardson, Rebecca, Wagner Carrilho, Mary Byrne, Katie and Cher

'It's kind of an edgy road movie where these three iconic characters, who we've always seen in this magical place called Hogwarts, are thrust out in to the big, bad world and have to fend for themselves and survive,' said David Yates, who directed both parts of 'Deathly Hallows' as well as the fifth and sixth 'Harry Potter' films.

'As much as we love Hogwarts, we needed a fresh environment. We needed to be out of our comfort zones, definitely,' Watson said

And what's Voldemort aiming to get out of all of this?

Harry Potter cast members: Katie Leung (Cho Chang), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)

Lovely ladies: Imelda Staunton (Professor Dolores Umbridge), Julia Walter (Molly Weasley) and Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour)

Here come the boys: Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldermort), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley) 533

'Everyone knows, don't they? They read all the books, don't they? They all know what he's up to: world domination, total power,' Fiennes said.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will bring to a close one of Hollywood's most remarkable film franchises, a gambit of more than a decade by Warner Bros. to bring all of Rowling's novels to the screen before the young stars outgrew their roles.

The result will be a 20-hour saga allowing fans to watch Harry grow from a shy, neglected 11-year-old to a bold, noble young man.

'I don't think it'll take too long before these films do finish and finally come out for cinemas all over the world to be having 'Harry Potter' marathons, where they just play them all back to back,' Radcliffe said. 'And I imagine attendance will be huge.'

Big moment: Fans came from all over the country to wait outside at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square

Joining in the fun: Movie-lovers got into the spirit by dressing up for the occasion
